RedHead RTX Purple Push/Pull Turkey Box Call
i use this call to locate birds and bring them in close because it is very loud and it purrs nicely. ive killed all of my turkeys and i have guided friends and family with this call and a single blow up hen decoy. super easy to operate and adjust the pitch. im tagged out for this year and ive called in a bird for my dad and his friend on 2 different trips. not many people have this call and all of my friends compare it to the cyclone but it is so easy yet functions so well that its no comparison. me and a buddy called in my last tom off the roost after all of his buddies had been shot earlier in the week. he didnt want to come into his slate alone, but when i called he would gobble then he would call and the tom would take a few steps in. about 6 times of doing this he was in my lap and i smoked him at 15 yards. call works no doubt about it.

Well, since the last time I reviewed this call in 2011 I've used this call to guide multiple friends and family as well as tag out myself every year. I still have the same call, I just chalk it before every season. I've gotten my biggest bird along with two toms with my bow that had a 9 inch beard and a 10.5. Last year on my dads birthday we tripled with my uncle, my uncle's beard was 9.5, my bird had a 9 inch beard and dads had a triple beard, 11", 7" and a 4". We had 8 toms in the decoys and it being my dad's birthday we let him kill the dominant one. all 3 shots were under 15 yards. my decoys are the blow up ones from Cherokee, I think they got discontinued. If you are looking for a beginner call, you cant get much simpler than pushing a button. If you are looking for something new that puts out a different pitch that drives the toms here in California wild, you've found your solution. i love my slate and box calls, but there is just something about this one that the toms cannot resist. You won't be disappointed with this call. Adjusts easily by moving the spring up or down.

Have not had a chance to use yet for turkey hunting. But with any turkey box call such as this, sounds pretty good messing around with it. Hopefully produce results.

Easy to use
Very easy to use. The purrs, yelps and clucks sound realistic.
