Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Collar Collar works as it should. Has good range and power. But second time out with it the antenna fell out of the remote. I would recommend checking the antenna often or using loctite to keep it in. Just another $20 ill have to spend for a new antenna. November 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Far it's been GREAT!!! We purchased the RedHead RH2 1200 Series Electronic Dog Training Collar via the Bass Pro Shop website. After a particularly destructive week with our 6 month old chocolate lab, we made the purchase. At the time we thought this was waaay to much money for such a product!!! When it arrived we just placed the collar on him and waited for about 2 to 3 weeks and then started the training. Literally we have synched the word "bad" with the stimulation and after about 5 times total throughout a whole week....he is like a different dog!!!(it takes very low stimulation) We were having problems with running to the road(we have a large farm, invisible fencing not an option), jumping, digging and the disgusting eating his own feces! Literally we just say have to say the word and he stops, turns and runs to us and sits. We don't even have the remote with us! My husband and I had a hard time getting it programmed but our 14 year old did it without even reading the directions!!!! Totally been worth the investment. April 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rock Solid I bought the RH2 1200 about 6 weeks ago. I lost the controller. After several weeks and several storms I was riding my tractor through the pasture and under the bale stand was a glimmer of orange. The controller was covered in manure, mud and straw. I wiped it off pressed the button and it worked great. Didn't even need a charge. March 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great for training a pup! We purchased the RH1220V (actually made by DT Systems) for its vibrate/page capability since we wanted to use the electronic stimulation (i.e. shock) sparringly and were afraid that the beep of other models may not get his attention, especially in high wind situations. Following the guide that came with the unit made training easy. Our 6 mo old pup responded immediately. With basic obedience training and this e-collar unit, we can now walk him off leash and keep him close (defintiely w/in gun range) with the ocassional page when he gets too far. The range of the transmitter is great and the collar is definitely water proof and durable. This unit seems to offer more value than the more expensive competition since it has some of the same or more features for less money. I would highly recommend this unit and look forward to purchasing a second collar for our new dog, since you can use the same transmitter to control up to 3 collars. March 8, 2012

Details:
I just purchased this system with an add on collar for my second dog. When determining the appropriate setting with the first dog I was working with, she yelped at a level 1! My dogs are 25-30 pound mixed breed (cattle dog/terrier possibly).

Fits my 28 pound Border Collie quite well. He yelps at three. My German Shepard doesn't feel it on the highest setting.

A:
leave it at level one then, your dog is sensitive to stimulation. any size dog you start at the lowest level and work your way up until you get their attention. you got your dogs attention so now the buzz feature is probably all you need.

Garmin says seven miles, nine with extended antennae on, in real hunting conditions with leaves on the tree two miles is probably max.
