I have had these for only a few days and have walked 1-2 miles each day to help break them in. So far they are doing great. They are very good at climbing the the AZ granite rock. Very good gripping ability. These will make good hunting boots for my area.

Was looking for a warm weather non-insulated boot and decided to try these since they fit all the other criteria I had for a boot. Mainly was looking for a 9" boot with Gore-tex and a sole that wasnt too aggressive. I figured the 200 thinsulate I could live with as I usually don't switch to a heavier boot until the temps get below freezing for an entire hunting day. I have worn them only three times, but all three mornings the temps were around 24-25 degrees at dawn and with just a medium weight merino wool sock my feet stayed comfortable. I have waded through some shallow ditches and have not had any leaks. The 9" height has allowed me to cross in some places that I wouldn't have in a shorter boot. They are very comfortable, once you get them on and adjusted. Mine are wide width and allow plenty of room for a heavy sock. The necks are a little narrow and you have to loosen them completely to get them on and off. They do provide excellent upper ankle support though. I'm very satisfied with them so far. This is my 3rd pair of Redhead boots in the last 6 yrs. The only fault I could find with them is the strong leather smell. I won't be bow hunting with these until the smell goes away.
