I used this jacket on a Goose hunt in Iceland in October. It was the outer layer over a polypro base and mid layer then KOM wool jacket. The weather was 6 degrees, continuous driving rain and high winds for two days. No wind and not a drop of water passed through this parka while in the field for 8 hour hunt days. The hood is excellent and adjusts to permit good shooting vision. The cuffs have excellent close fitting seals and pocket zippers are waterproof. I will buy the matching trousers.

I recently purchased this jacket from a Bass Pro store. I would say that my customer service experience was completely under par but I wasn't going to let that ruin anything since I have always had a great experience at Bass pro.
This is a quality product. I have been a big fan of Gore-tex for some time now. I can honestly say that I have never had any issues. EVER. The price tag might scare you but this product it well worth it!!!
One thing I can say about the REDHEAD line of jackets is that the sizing is very weird. TRY THE JACKET ON BEFORE PURCHASE!

Haven't had a chance to wear it in rain but jacket seems to be well made. I have worn it on some cool mornings when wind was blowing fairly hard and it seemed to do an excellent job of stopping wind and keeping me warm with minimal layering.

Purchased last minute prior to an elk hunt here in Colorado, and couldn't be happier. Hiked in about 5 miles for our hunt in 50 degree weather, only for it to turn in to 2 days of solid, non-stop rain and snow. Temperatures ranged from 50, down to 18 degrees and the gear never failed and kept me dry as ever. Purchased large enough to layer, but was tight and dry even when I managed to shed a layer or two, or zip open for ventilation.
