Although it looks wonderful, the kit is sub-par. The rods are cheap, and the small caliber brushes are way too tight.

I purchased this kit for my .22 and 12 gauge, thinking it would be a great deal compared to buying rods, jags, brushes, mops, etc. all seperately. Well, you get what you pay for. The box I got had scrapes and scuff marks on the bottom underneath the packaging when I got it home (may have been a returned and restocked item). When I took out the cleaning rod for .22's, I noticed the finish was tarnished already. I figured oh well, I don't care what it looks like, as long as it works. I barely got done cleaning my rifle and one of the rods broke right at the threading. Luckily, it broke on the backstroke so I didn't get a cleaning rod stuck in my rifle. Several of the brushes also had lint stuck in them from patches, as well as bent bristles. Obviously it was not a new kit. I will be returning this to Bass Pro today.

Purhcased this product for my .22 rifle today, unfortunely the smallest cotton mops could not fit into the .22 caliber, very disappointed. If you would like to have a nice looking wooden case, this is the one, if you would like to purchase a cleanning kit, you will probably need to go for something else.

I purchased this kit thinking it would be the answer for cleaning all the guns in my home. On the 1st use of the smaller rod to clean my 270 Remington the rod broke. Will be returniing it to the local BPS today. Hopefully I can find another brand with stronger rods.
