I don't know where the folks made this live, but it doesn't sound anything like a Great Horned Owl, or any other owl I have ever heard. It sounds more like a sick deer grunt.

Economical locator call with extra loud volume. If he is close he will answer you usually. Only drawback is mouthpiece and tube comes off a little too easy, but overall good locater call for the money.

Which end goes in your mouth? When I put the end with the small hole in my mout I get no sound. The other end sounds more like a buck grunting.Am I doing something wrong? I am new to hunting so I am assuming this is a function of operator error.

cup your hands on the end with the small hole, blow in the end with the large opening.......adjust your hands to slightly open until the proper sound is achieved.......blow to the cadence "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all" .....very easy to master the owl in a short time.....Good Luck!!A:Â
Hello, the way I use the call is to blow through the open end while cupping your hands together tightly at the other end. Just let enough air flow to make the tone you're looking for. You'll want to blow kinda hard. The instructions that came with it don't produce the right tones.1 of 1
