Rated 4 out of 5Â by Moosedog Very happy with purchase
I purchased this jacket and the bibs, and overall I am very happy with the purchase so far. I purchased it for the colder weather, December hunts that we see in Nebraska, however I wore it for three days last weekend (early Nov) and was very comfortable in it even though the temps were ranging from 30-68 degrees, simply by removing an under layer over our lunch break. I was very unsure about the thumbhole cuffs, but I have to say that I am a huge fan of them! I put my thin Under Armour gloves, then my wrist release and then slide into the jacket and pull the release out of the cuff and I end up with a setup that doesn't interfere with anything when I am bowhunting. My favorite feature is the pockets on the jacket. There is a standard pocket you can slide your hand into, as well as the standard buttoned pocket for items on each side as well, but then there is a large pocket that is essentially open on top for easy access to everything and anything you might need. I loved the easy and noise free access to all of the items I take on a hunt. The hood fits about as well as any hood that I have tried in the past, none of them are that great in my opinion. The only drawback that I have seen is the fabric likes to grab onto tree bark, making a very light velcro sound when pulled away. I had to make sure that I wasn't leaning up against the tree when deer were in view. I didn't spook any with the noise, but I assume you could very easily. Overall very happy, well fitting, warm and plenty of good storage for the money. PS- the new AP camo is AWESOME. Hope this helps.

My husband love this jacket. I got it because it was on sale, not realizing he would like it this much. Kudos to me and Basspro for allowing it to go for as cheap as they did.

I think the sizes are normal. My boyfriend wears a medium in shirts and jackets, ordered this jacket in a medium and it was great in the shoulders, maybe a little bit loose in the body.A:Â

Their own version of Gortex, called Bone-Dry-works great!A:Â
I don't believe it's Gor-tex. I guess you could consider it RedHead's version of Gor-Tex. They call it Bone Dry Technology. It's wind and water-proof. Not to mention it wicks away moisture. It's warm and comfortable.1 of 1
