I purchased this jacket and the bibs, and overall I am very happy with the purchase so far. I purchased it for the colder weather, December hunts that we see in Nebraska, however I wore it for three days last weekend (early Nov) and was very comfortable in it even though the temps were ranging from 30-68 degrees, simply by removing an under layer over our lunch break. I was very unsure about the thumbhole cuffs, but I have to say that I am a huge fan of them! I put my thin Under Armour gloves, then my wrist release and then slide into the jacket and pull the release out of the cuff and I end up with a setup that doesn't interfere with anything when I am bowhunting. My favorite feature is the pockets on the jacket. There is a standard pocket you can slide your hand into, as well as the standard buttoned pocket for items on each side as well, but then there is a large pocket that is essentially open on top for easy access to everything and anything you might need. I loved the easy and noise free access to all of the items I take on a hunt. The hood fits about as well as any hood that I have tried in the past, none of them are that great in my opinion. The only drawback that I have seen is the fabric likes to grab onto tree bark, making a very light velcro sound when pulled away. I had to make sure that I wasn't leaning up against the tree when deer were in view. I didn't spook any with the noise, but I assume you could very easily. Overall very happy, well fitting, warm and plenty of good storage for the money. PS- the new AP camo is AWESOME. Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CharlieE Very Warm
I bought in October '13, and have worn it 3 times.
Pro's: I wore in temps ranging from 25-55f. It was plenty warm at 25, and comfortable at 55 (unzipped). The hood is very large, and allows for plenty or rotation. It sprinkled a bit one day, and the waterproofing worked as advertised. I stayed very dry. The material is very quiet when moving around in contact with itself. It is also very comfortable, and the pockets are well distributed, and easily accessible.
Con's: As others have mentioned, the material sticks to tree bark quite severely. and can be rather loud.
Also, the elastic around the wrist area is EXTREMELY tight. and i have quite skinny arms to begin with.
Overall, i would give it a good recommendation, especially for the price. Very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased the Redhead Mountain Stalker Elite Jacket based upon the description and price and found it met my expectations. I purchased it prior to going on a whitetail hunt in PA and it kept me warm. I found that I did not have to use as many layers and stayed very warm and dry, even in cold temperatures in the teens. I would have liked to have an additional zippered chest pocket but this is only a wish list. The jacket fit great. The neoprene-type sleeve extensions helped keep my hands warm by keeping my wrists warm. I like the way Bass Pro shops puts the description of the thinsulate weight in the catalog description because their competitors don't always list this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SSGe EXCELLENT PURCHASE!!!!
My wife bought me this coat and the matching bibs for this season. I could not be happier with the performance. I didn't think it was possible to be so warm while hunting in upstate NY. So far I have hunted in wind that was strong enough to push me around, snow, rain, and ice or some combination of them. These clothes have given me the ability to stay out longer and hunt in these conditions without a complaint. I would probably fist-fight someone over these things. If you are going to buy hunting clothes for COLD, COLD, weather (single digit or less). I suggest these.
