Has the quality of bass pro, little quirky on the design for the top of the hat. It is cool and it does keep the sun off your face. My main place of wear will be the garden.

THE HAT IS PERFECT. I AM IN THE SUN AT LEAST 8 HOURS A DAY (FLORIDA) INTHE POOL BUSINESS AND NO SUNBURNED HEAD OR EARS. I AM A 71/4 HAT SIZE AND THE LARGE JUST FITS, SO THEY RUN A LITTLE SMALL SO ORDER A LITTLE BIGGER.

i bought this hat for the extra uv protection. a nice, wide brim and both the underside of the top and brim are lined to keep out those harmful rays of the sun. however, the mesh allows the sun through, so i have a little patch of red above my forehead. otherwise a good hat, and the mesh does let some air in to help keep your head cool. just put on some sunscreen.

I agree with the other review fully that this is very good quality for the price. It also has a solid top that cannot be seen in the picture. Good for not sunburning that bald spot.ha I got an extra large and find it a bit snug, so, if you're right between two sizes, you might go UP. The hat looks good too.

The hat is made of a heavy grade of cotton canvas, I think. The brim of the hat is very stiff, and won't flop around, which is one of the main reasons that I wanted it. After it is "broken in", you can bend the brim a little bit to your liking. Done right, it will stay on your head while sitting in the front of a boat going 45 mph..., without a problem! I wouldn't try to roll it up though. You could push the mesh part down and basically have a dinner plate sized item to put in your luggage.
