RedHead Merino Hiking Socks for Men - Quarter
Need Slight Re-design
I have several pairs of both the RedHead quarter and full Merino hiking socks for men. They are very comfortable and I wear them all year. The problem I have with this sock is the strip of material that wraps around the upper portion of the foot and under the foot. This material wears out prematurely on the bottom of the foot while the rest of the sock is in excellent shape. Since I wear these socks all of the time and year around this typically begins to wear out in less than six months. Eventually you can see right through the sock and it is only held together by threads of material until it evetually tears and holes form. At $9.95 a pair these socks should last longer than this and if it wasn't for this thin strip of material on the bottom of the foot I am sure they would. Until this design changes I am going to have to find a sock that will last longer.

Low-cut Merino Wool socks!
Wool is the best fabric God has made, other than maybe silk. Depending on it's application and thickness, wool will keep you warm in cool weather and cool in warm weather. So far they seem to be working out fine. Wool has the excellent ability to wick moister away, leaving your feet a little drier. Also, wool can keep you warm even if it gets wet. Compared to my cotton socks, these are much nicer to wear. Compared to other brands low-cut wool socks, I can't really compare cause this is my first pair. I bought 4 pair.

RedHead® Merino Socks are the best
These socks are as advertised - absorb moisture, padding for foot, wash well, cool in summer, warm in winter, plus they wear like iron wool.
Have worn the taller sock for over three years with a leather orthodic ankle support, then tried the shorter ankle sock for summer.
Have replaced all socks for year round wear of RedHead® Merio wool socks. Would recommend them for men or women. Satisfied Bass Pro Shopper.
