My son bought me this rest for Christmas. When I went to assemble it, the rifle mount would not fit between the two vertical metal pieces where it bolts together. I went to BP and looked at their display model. Their's fit, so I thought mine might be defective. I measured the OD on the vertical pieces, then boxed it and took it back. The one I pulled off the shelf had the same OD measurement as mine. I checked the display model and it was 1/8 inch wider. I talked with a sales clerk. His comment was bend out the vertical pieces, which would not be easy because of their thickness. Looking at the display model again, it was obvious that is what the store had done. The clerk said, "It's Redhead. It's cheap." Anybody else with this same problem?

We went to gun range to sight in 4 rifles,we shot 2 Ruger 10/22 and worked very good but when we put a Remington model seven 243 and a 700 7mm the padding on the barrel rest ripped where it was sewed and all the pellets fell out.works good for small guns but not made for anything bigger than 22

Received one of these as a gift . Shot off it a lot with 30-06 and 300 Win Mag. It worked beautifully. No problems with the breaking that the other guys saw. It appears to be very solid. I have no concerns about durability.
