Used to use these to shoot on an outdoor range in a national forest in college. Switched to a local indoor range and these were NOT up to snuff. Had to pay to rent a set of "ear muff" style protectors for the hour I was shooting. Seems to work decently outdoors, but don't try it indoors!

My son and I took these out to the range this past weekend, and we were not at all impressed. The foam has too much memory, and doesn't expand enough in the ear canal to be effective.We switched to foam plugs on strings (that I had from work) and they worked fine as always. I would not recommend.
