I have bought Red Head Canadian floating decoys and never had a problem. I saw these Magnum Duck decoys for a great price so i purchased them. First weekend hunting with them and it was horrible. Three of the duck decoys were cracked where the keel attaches causing the keel to fall off. Add insult to injury the decoys started floating away and had to uncover the boat to retreive the decoys when i should have been calling mallards into my setup. The decoy shell is made with cheap flimsy plastic that needs to be thicker. Didnt have a problem with the paint but only had them for two days before I returned them. The only positive thing is that Bass Pro returned them with no questions asked.

im a first time duck hunter and so far they put together easy and the keel seems pretty sturdy. when i was sitting in my deer stand there were duck hunters behind me (i was pretty annoyed when they would shoot) but it looked really fun and i wanted to start so i got these and they look good and they float so, so far they are a good product. for the price they are very worth a try

I got these a couple years ago for Christmas and have had tons of mallards fly over them and half land in them. They are the best decoys I own

Got these in Sept for b-day second time out 2 of the keels broke totally off. 2 others cracked where keel slides in at front and rear. Very disappointed have 8 dozen standard red head deeks been very happy was gonna try switching to magnums to haul fewer to water but not with these magnums.

Is there a spot to attach the line to deploy them without the keel? I'd like to have a few keelless deeks to add a bit more movement to the spreadin shallow water.Answers
A:Â
nope there is no place to secure your weights to on the decoy unless you use the keelA:Â
No. if you use them in water the keels must be on. No place to atach a line. you kould superglue a line but i havent tried it. good luckA:Â
If you rigged some type of object that would slide in the slot in place of the keel. I bet a small fender washer would work. You could also slide your decoy line with a cord crimp on the end in the keel slot. That would hold it nicely. There isn't a factory place to attach a decoy cord without the keel.1 of 1
