I purchased these last year and they have done exactly what I needed them to do. I used them on seven weekend trips last summer and also on three weekend trips to michigan for steelhead this january. I have had no leaks at all and they performed very well in freezing temps this winter. Theyre a little hot in the summer but all in all these are a tremendous starter pair of waders for the price.

Bought a pair of these waders about 2 years ago (2009) . I got a size bigger than I wear. Right away I noticed it was a little tight around the ankles when I would put my foot in. Well this past Sunday (9-25-11) was about the 5th trip with these waders to Salmon River in Ny. As soon as I got up to my waist in the river I felt the water rushing in both feet. At first I thought it was just the cold water on the out side but after about 15 to 20 min the water wicked up my under layer. Yes the seams around the ankles were leaking, but they hold water when you take them off.

I got about 12 trips out of these before they started leaking. Once they started, they got worse everytime. At first it was just the legs in the thigh area, but on the last trip out, by back was wet.
I would not recommend for summer use and make sure oyu have some regul pants on as the rubber inside lining is killer on leg hair.
Would I buy again? No. Time to upgrade

I was pleased with the fit. I'm 5'8' 150# 34' waist. It's a snug fit with jeans or sweats but I prefer that. I ordered the small. These will be just fine this spring & summer. Was pleased to find the zippered pocket within the pocket. Wished they were breathable though.

Does the neoprene bootie keep your feet and ankles completely dry? Or do you need to wear a rubber type boot under/over?

Got a float tube for christmas and the weather is just about good enough to get it wet. Trying to get all the gear I need, and asking questions as I am 100% novice at this tubing thing. Any advice for some fins? Thanks in advance.Answers

Most definitely. Make sure you get some gravel guards as well.Top 250 Contributor

To anwser your question, the neoprene bootie keeps your feet dry and insulated, but you will need wading boots to wear over to fit in your fins. Insulated boots help if you fish in cold water. I have these waders and they keep me 100% dry and somewhat warm. They are the best for the price for sure. In reference to gear,I like outcast backpacking fins, creek company fins, any fin designed to fit wading boots is good. You will probably need a rod holder of some sort, waders, fins, and wading boots. I have a hummingbird fishin' buddy, it workes well for identifing structure on the bottom. I have an egg crate carrier that I fit into the back of my float tube (I dont know if you can do this). The rest is personal preference, but I keep mine a simple as possible. Oh, an outcast rod rack is great, it holds 6 rods to the side of the float tube. I love float tubing, and I am sure you will also. P.S do you live in Lake Tahoe? Hope to see you out here.
