This item may be a good purchase if you don't put the socks on while traveling to your hunting destination. The first time I wore them was with a 800 gram insulated boot and my feet just about suffocated. I also own a pair of the under armor brand hunting socks and they are far superior in keeping your feet warm and comfortable..

So I bought these because they didn't have heated socks in my size. These socks are comfortable but when I went out hunting and wore them in my waders my feet got cold. It was cold enough that my boots kept re-freezing to the floor of my tripod stand. Made it about two hours in the stand before my feet hurt enough that I had to get down and go warm up. If you wore something other than rubber boots maybe they would work better.

Before I found these, I had to wear multiple pairs of socks to try to keep my feet warm. Now, I wear ONLY these socks. I found that if I tried to wear socks underneath these, when my feet would sweat, it would absorb into my under socks. These seem to wick away moisture and keep my feet warmer than any other socks I've worn. Must have for duck hunters. Only problem I've had is worn out heels.....

These didn't last for 12 weeks before blowing out the heels and toes and they aren't that warm.

I like both socks, though the Extreme Cold feel like they compress my feet less than the All Purpose ones.
