I purchased this pack to use backpacking and for an up coming elk trip later in the year. I am 6'3 and 230 lbs. When I got it home, I put 60 lbs in the pack and I could not get this pack to size down small enough to properly fit. I was unable to tighten the waist belt tight, the load lifter buckles would not hold in place, the frame sat way to low and slap me on the backside.
I liked to concept but Bass Pro needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. I will spend the extra money and buy an Eberlstock, Tenzing, or Mystery Ranch pack.
Positive note - Returned to Bass Pro with no problems.

This was picked up for me as a gift. It is huge and can fit all of my camping gear with plenty of room left over. I have been trying since Christmas to figure out how to adjust it properly so it feels comfortable and disperses the weight between the shoulders straps and belt. I still haven't been able to do it. It seems that my 38" waste is just too tiny for the pack's belt. I can't get it tight enough to hold any wait from the pack. The upper most pack suspension straps will not hold friction causing them to slip and not hold any weight.
When I received the product it was put together incorrectly and it didn't come with instructions on how to put it together. There was very little instructions on how to use the product except a sizing chart. I tried to place my rifle on the pack and it wouldn't hold the barrel of the rifle securely and screeched my barrel with the clips.
I am thinking about taking it back. I never would have though that my waist would be too small for a pack.
