I needed a pair of Fall season boots so when I saw the RedHead ankle highs in Bass Pro's Labor Day Sale I jumped in and ordered them. They arrived in no time and I was quite pleased with the product. They fit well and they sure served the purpose for some Fall Deer Archery and squirrel season. No need for the heavy insulated boots and if it's not raining no need for waterproof ones either. I'm well supplied with boots, but needed some light weights for Autumnn when it's still dry and warmer. I'm very well satisfied with the product..

When you buy a pair of boots on line it can be scary! Don't be afraid of these!
I put them on, wore them for three days at work and didn't even notice I was wearing them unless I thought about it. (thought: "Wow these are nice boots!")
I did have to put in liners because I have a high arch, but other than that, these boots are a steal!

No, but there is plenty of height in the boot to allow adding an insole. I put a pair in mine and although they were already comfortable, they are now even more comfortable. Hope this answers your questionA:Â
No, but I did insert my orthotics into them over the insole. Wore them both with and without the added orthotics. Some days one way felt good, other times the other way worked for me. (Plantar faciatis)

They are not a heavy insulated boot. But they do have a nice thick liner in them. I wear a good quality wool sock with them and go out in the snow and cold all the time. They work fine for me in the wintertime and in the summer.Answers

They are not sold as waterproof, but they appear to be water-resistant. My feet have stayed dry in the snow so far. I think I will spray mine, since I wear them in snow and wet grass a lot.A:Â

No they are not water proof. But when they do get wet they seem to dry out rather fast. I have waded streams in them and got them completley wet but after a little while they seem to feel dry even tho they are still wet.A:Â
I would say they are "water resistant". If you wade around in several inches of water eventually your feet will get wet, but they can handle splashing with the hose quite well.
