Rated 4 out of 5Â by hunteraz424 Great deal - smaller tripod review
At the cheap sale price I was quite skeptical of this tripod, given that most decent tripods are $50+. However, after using this for my binos and spotting scope while scouting for coues deer, I must say I definitely got my money's worth. The head doesn't move as smoothly as I'd like but once you get used to it it's not a problem. The removable attachment piece on the head is a great feature. The construction overall is very decent and sturdy. The main thing I didn't like was the fact that the legs were so close together, constrained by the middle attachment pieces. It's difficult to sit with legs crossed and not touch the tripod legs. In the end, I am quite pleased with my purchase and plan to buy another one. Deals like this are rare.

I recently purchased the pack model of this tripod thinking it would be better than the one which came with my spotting scope. The tripod is indeed compact and fits nicely in the carrying case, but it is not near study enough for se with a spotting scope. I installed on scope on the tripod, but the tripod screw mount is so flimsy that the scope shakes uncontrollably when it is barely touched. Also, the rubber feet on the pack model do not have metal spikes which can be exposed. (This is not clearly stated in the description of the product on the website.) The tripod may find use as a lightweight travel tripod for my camera, but it is not useful for the purpose I bought it for.
