never again about 6 months ago i bought the epic 4,5x14x40AO for around 170$ put it on a brand new rifle chambered in 300 winmag. bore sighted went to the range shot a 3 rounds moved the scope to zero it in @ 100 let the barel cool off about 30 minutes fired 3 more shots in to a 1" group. The next week end went back to the ranger and fire 3 rounds and all 3 were not even close my 1" group turned in to a 1foot group. Returned that scope for another one exact same scope. redid everything and had the same results now im on my 3rd epic in 6 months and just got home from BPS with a bushnell trophy xl 3x9x40 the only reason i gave it 2 satrs was because the store was great all 3 times i had to return the scope. Good Scope Bass Pro Shops mounted the 3-9X40 scope on my Ruger 10/22. I shoot 1 inch patterns at 50 yards and 5" patterns at one hundred yards. The scope is highly repeatable and the mounting has remained secure after 2500 rounds of .22 lr ammo. I was very fortunate to purchase this scope on sale, and with the free mounting, I paid less than half of what the local gunsmith charges for mounting a scope. I am going to purchase a higher adjustable magnification Redhead scope and see if I can tighten up my 100 yard pattern. July 20, 2010
3.5 - 10 scope on a 30 30 lever action This scope is good and clear at low light conditions. excellent on 3-7. ok on 7-9. but it is not good on 10 unless it is in the middle of the day with good light. you can really get it dialed in on about 8 with the focusing eye peice. December 8, 2008
garbage I bought this scope for remington 7400 in 30-06 aweek ago. After putting it on I had a hard time sighting it in. After about a dozen shots I had it pretty well lined up and the scope started getting really foggy on higher powers. I turned the power down which made it better for a few shots than it got blurry to.It will be going back.WORST scope i have ever had. September 2, 2008

Without caps on the adjustments wouldn't your sights be thrown off if they were bumped? All the scopes I've owned had caps over the sight adjustments to prevent this from happening.

Yes, they have caps. The caps have the red dot in the middle. There is a picture on the site that shows it with the caps off to show the adjustments (no red dot).

Absolutley. Just get the right rings and you'll have no problem. My panther is set up for coyote hunting and I have a much higher magnification scope, which is longer and a 30mm tube and it fits, so this scope, which is on my R700 7mm would fit just fine.

A:
To find the correct cover you will need to measure the diameter of the objective lens and eyepiece, see photo for chart. Select the cover that is closest to the measurement with .01 under size and .025 over the size range. Thanks

Depending on the throw on the bolt most rifle scopes will be suitable as long as you select a scope with the same tube diameter as your rings.

A:
if you are going to put this on that rifle you can do it but it will have to be drilled and tapped for the mount. there is a kit that comes with all the stuff you need to do this or a gunsmith will have to drill and tap for you. recommed you run ir by gunsmith anyway. some of those rifles are better than others. Just make sure you have a good shooter and better made rifle before you go to the trouble or expense of the project.

Our gunsmith suggests that you take your gun to a gunsmith regarding the appropriate mounts. Depending on the throw on the bolt most rifle scopes will be suitable as long as you select a scope with the same tube diameter as your rings.

inside of 150 yards, not very well. I bought it for long range coyote hunting and it is good for that but I put my 3x9 back on last night for deer season so I could acquire a target easier.

It should handle any recoil you can! Bass Pro will usually replace anything with their name on it. Sounds recoil-proof to me :-)
