RedHead Dogwood Canyon Rubber Lug Sole Wading Boots for Men
I just got back from fishing in a local river with a flow of about 6100 cfm , not too strong of a flow,,,, I couldn't get the boot in half size, so I went with one size larger. I used a wet sock, and a insulating sock, they were very sloppy inside the boot. I really had trouble keeping my footing on the rocks. I don't think the lugs are deep enough, I had to find a stick to keep my balance a few times. I didn't try them with full waders because it was to hot to put waders on.. so I could not give the boot full evaluation, with that said.. I did find that the boot also had a hard time keeping the laces tied...I normally wear a size 10 1/2, went with an 11..I'll let you be the judge.

Meet my needs at low cost
I ordered my current shoe size and the boots were big with my neoprene socks so you might want to order a size smaller than your normal shoe size. The boots were light and sturdy enough to walk around in and out of the water when fishing. My old hodgman boots were like wearing cinderblocks compared to these redhead boots. I can see how the laces will not last a long time, per other reviewers comments.
I have already recommended the boots to a coworker. My main complaint is that redhead products are all imported, or at least most redhead products are imported. That's why I put off buying these boots in the first place. I wanted to find an American made pair and fell short on my search.

Great product for the price
I have always used felt soled boots. I decided to buy theses rubber soled boots. I fish the San Juan quality waters in Northern New Mexico alot. I have slipped many times and gotten wet a few times when wearing felt soled boots. I thought there would be no difference with these boots. I was wrong. I got great traction on the slippery rocks. I never fell in the river due to slippage. I like the material these boots are constructed of. When they dry out they aren't stiff and are easy to put on dry or wet. I would by more of these boots. Make sure you buy your exact size. I ordered a size bigger and the boots were a little big. Fortunately the neoprene socks were big enough to reduce foot movement in the boot.
