RedHead® Deluxe Neoprene Dog Vest
Give your hard-working dog some extra protection from the cold and brush with the RedHead® Deluxe Neoprene Dog Vest. This lightweight, 5mm neoprene rubber vest features a durable Kevlar chest guard to give your dog added protection from field hazards like briars, thorns, and barbed wire. Trim and cut construction allows for a great fit every time. Adjustable velcro "hold tight" closure system and reinforced seams for long wear. Removable flotation and built-in floating neck handle for water work. Dual closure zipper and hook 'n' loop fasteners. Color: Realtree MAX-4®. Imported.
Sizing Instructions: 1) Measure your dog's neck (about 3'' down from the base of the skull). 2) Measure around your dog's chest (about 1'' behind the front legs all the way around). 3) When measuring, be sure to keep the measuring tape snug for a good, accurate measurement. 4) Choose the largest dog vest closest to your measurements – the velcro closure will allow for some adjustment.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by MDKMWRIGHT very poor quality
Rarely can I be critical of a BP product, but this vest is terrible. The zipper will not stay closed and is tearing away from the neoprene after 4 uses. The other seams started tearing on the first use. To be clear, it is the proper size for the dog, it is just a very poorly made vest. DO NOT BUY ONE!

Me and my hunting buddy purchased these vests for our dogs for duck hunting. Both of the vests were torn under the arms after the very first hunt and coming apart at the seems above the shoulders. ONE HUNT!!!!!! The vests are junk.

The smallest size (Medium), was too big for my border collie. Even if they had a smaller size, it was clear after looking at the construction that it was made to fit a dog with a rounder chest. I understand that these were made for retrievers, which usually have that body type, but I'm writing this review for others like myself who are looking for a vest for other breeds that swim for recreation and need something to keep warm. If you have a dog with a deep, narrow chest, take them into the store to try this on or think twice before buying.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Muttnut Should have Bought Remington
I bought this Vest for my dog for safety running threw the bush etc I had it on one of my dogs for maybe a few outing not going into the bush but to my neighbors pond just threw the fields over etc it is very poorly made the Kevlar was very frayed the neoprene is coming apart at the armpit area of one hanging on by a few tread. It’s really bad that I’ve only been out 3 times with it on my dog and it had fallen apart. I should have bought another Remington one since I’ve had that one for a few years for my other dog and it is in still great working condition with my one dog that has run threw everything and anything.

I'm looking for something for Northern Ontario Ice Fishing...I want my dog to be comfy so I can fish with no worries in conditions varying from:
+5C to -25C / 41F to -13F
slushy snow conditions in warm weather
glare ice and hard pack snow in cold
I'm worried that the fleece in other vests will get wet and that the neoprene in this vest will freeze...
Any suggestions? Is this a good product for what I need?
Note: My dog is a Boxer and she's rather small for her breed.

How warm would be too warm for my dog to wear it and not get overheated while wearing it?
Answers
A:Â
Contrary to what most people believe, dogs overheat more quickly than humans do. Also, there are many different factors that may play a part overheating; for example, humidity, size/breed of dog, and type of outdoor activity may affect how quickly a dog overheats. Please consult your dog's veterinarian for the best answer.A:Â
My dog has worn it up to about 60 degrees F. I did keep her in the water a lot just to make sure she stayed cool.A:Â
