I have been shooting the RedHead Deer Target for about a week now with about 100 arrows shot into it. A few things to note: The target comes with 2 rebar stakes (1/2" diameter). They are 17" long. The stakes are far to short to support the target, unless they are used in VERY hard soil. The stakes can actually slide up inside the deer legs for about 15". For maximum support, rebar should be used that is long enough to slide completly inside the deer legs, with enough left over to drive down into the ground securely. I ended up using rebar that was about 30" long. To add support I dug out about 6" of the ground around each rebar support and poured QuickSet concrete. After about 1 hour the target was rock solid with almost no wiggle!
I found it VERY difficult to remove arrows, even after 100 arrows were shot into the target. Maybe this will change over time, but in the mean time some type of arrow lub might help. I am currently experimenting with Fluid Film, a high performance lubricant. While the smell is horrible, it bonds to surfaces encredible well. I have used it for years on everything from knife blades to tree strap carabiners with great results. Don't know if it will work on arrows or not, but just giving it a try.
The antlers are attached by simply pushing them into pre-drilled holes. They will not stay in place for very long. I ended up using Gorrila Glue to keep my from working loose.
Overall I found the size of the deer to be about right...not overly big or small. The vital area is clearly visable, even out to 60', which is something my 55 year old eyes like!
Those are some of my first impression. I'll update my post as more arrows are sent down range!

I purchased this for my son who is a die hard bow hunter. He loves it. I wish I had an image, but he is in Virginia and I am in Florida. The best news that I have heard lately is that BassPro is opening a store in St. Johns county, Fl. This is but 15 miles from my home. I am going nuts and my wife can't understand why.

We've been very happy with these so far, I bought 2 of them and me and 2 of my kids use them almost every day. Alot different than shooting arrows at a bullseye, glad I started the kids on this before actually letting them fire at a real deer. More money than I wanted to spend, but glad I did it.
