The smaller the #, the tighter the choke. Full is .700 or .705.
I'm guessing that's why the guy who also responded said his cracked because he was hunting geese so I'm sure he was shooting something larger than 2's. Overall I wouldn't recommend using this choke for steel, it's done me well for all types of lead shots, I haven't tried slugs though.
Don't use a full choke with steel! When shooting steel always consider your choke to be one rating more constrictive than it is marked for lead. For example, an Improved Cylinder becomes a Modified when shooting steel. You should not use a choke more constrictive than Modified when shooting steel. At best you will blow your pattern.
The use of a full choke with steel is typically inappropriate, and my guess is that the cracked choke tube is a result of that.
