Went brown bear hunting in Haines, Alaska. It rained every day for hours. The Jacket kept me dry. It is warm, no ventilation but for the prices its a great buy.

This jacket seems well made and much less expensive than other retailers for similar products. The jacket was a little over sized, but I like that about it. I can layer underneath in cooler weather. The features and cunstruction quality are excellent. I have not been able to test if the jacket is truly waterproof as there hasn't been much rain where I live lately. If it is truly waterproof then I would highly reccomend this jacket!

The jacket is well built for the price and is quiet for a rain jacket. The only problem I had with the jacket if after hiking for over 1 hour noticed it didn't wick away moisture very well. I haven't worn it in really rainy conditions so I can't comment of that.

I usually wear Medium, I hear the Redhead Parka runs a size small so I am buying a L for that. How about this rain jacket? Does it also run a size big?I plan on wearing a base and fleece layer underneath.

I allways get x-large and this is baggy, which is good so I can wear a hoodie underneath.

You should order by the size chart below. For a men’s Large it fits a chest size 42-44 inches and a medium fits 38-40 inches. If you will be wearing bulky underneath this jacket, you might order the next size up. Personally, I have always purchased RedHeads true to size. I hope this helps.
