The bronze brush i have found does an outstanding job of removing the powder residue and most of any rust that might have formed from the barrel of my muzzel loader.

These brushes fits the .50 cal. perfectly and work great!! It takes out stubborn fouling quickly and makes the follow-up cleaning easier.
