Knife is really nice, sharp and well balance. Sheath looks OK but plain, because it is leather you have to have it fix a bit: soak it in water and let it dry....follow wewhitt's method. The only reason it lost 1 star is the sheath otherwise no big deal it is a great knife for the price. I would recommend it to a friend

I bought this knife last year at christmas. It came RAZOR sharp, and by razor sharp I mean it will take the hair right off your arm just by moving it across your arm with no pressure at all. Very sturdy knife, my only complaint is that the sheath is VERY plain. Just plain leather, would of liked a little more designed sheath.

This is an excellent knife - especially for the price. I had to look twice to make sure it was accurate. Looks great, good sturdy feel and balance. Sheath seems fine to me, though others don't seem to be as impressed.

I ordered this knife on a whim - I have always wanted a large knife for hunting and fishing. When this arrived - I was shocked with the size of this thing - quite large. The leather sheath is not completely cheap; however, it can be disappointing if one has never had to work with leather before. Leather shrinks - and you will find that the clasp that holds the knife in the sheath to be cumbersome and hard to fasten. Simply boil some water to a rapid - hot boil. Dip the clasp in and let it soak for 30 - 60 minutes. I put the whole sheath in – mostly to eliminate any excess dye and form fit the sheath to my knife completely. While waiting on the sheath to soak - wrap the handle of your knife with some press and seal - this will increase the diameter of your handle just a hair; as well as, prevent the wet leather from directly touching the knife handle. Once this leather has soaked - take it out of the water - dab off with a paper towel. Best done this way since some of the dye will still be in the water - may stain a good towel. Place knife in sheath, fasten the clasp, the clasp should stretch over the handle, and leave it there for at least a day. I put mine on a high shelf for a weekend. Once dry - undo clasp, remove knife, and take the plastic wrap off. The whole sheath should be nice and form fitted with little to no issue clasping the knife. This suggestion was also mentioned before in an earlier review – I did mine a little different – same result. The knife is form fitted to my sheath now and I have no issues with the clasp. I can foresee this particular sheath setup wearing out quicker than some of my other knife setups; however, it does just fine for me. Overall – can’t beat the price and quality – I really enjoy this knife!!

Its a very plain sheath, no embedding or anything, but its light leather brown. No texture or design on it either.A:Â
