Rated 4 out of 5 Red Head Hip Boots
These are great boots. They are the perfect height for somewhat deep water, just enough to get a snag or change position in a creek. They fit a little large, maybe one shoe size too big, but when you are in water, the pressure fits them to your foot. Keep you completely dry, no slip, nice boots.

I have used these boots just once so far, and they seem fine. I am using them at present to launch and load my boat in shallow water and will be using them when I fly fish as I am learning this discipline. The fit is good (boot size), I have short legs so the boots are long in the crotch, but that is to be expected.
All in all, a good buy

Rated 3 out of 5 by dwulff99 not bad, but not great
for the money these are fairly good hip waders. used them for 2 years with fishing and some light duck hunting. they never leaked on me, but after I replaced them with chest waders they were showing a good amount wear with lots of scrapes and abrasions. but they were comfortable, light weight, and easy to walk in.

A:
yes their is metal. it is at the top off the boot where there are the belt attachments to keep the boots up. There are also some snaps on the inside that secure around your calf to make the boot more secure to your leg/foot.i used mine in salt water with no problems!
A:
The metal is on the adjusting straps which attach to your belt and therefore do not get wet.A:
didn't see any exposed metal. I will be in saltwater also.1 of 1
