Good traction. Stay on my feet. Do not puncture when I fall. I can walk for miles without my feet hurting.

I bought these to replace a set of Lacrosse that had dry rotted in garage on the rack. I needed them quick for a planned canoe and hog hunt in Georgia...and did not want to pay another $150+ for something I use twice a year to only rot again hanging on the wall.
These were on sale and were insulated in foot area for 200gr of Thinsulate....so figured why not.
I wore them for four days in temps from 60*F down to below freezing while slogging through swamps with water to my thigh and mud that would swallow you in some areas even higher. I also wore in grass and reeds that were 8-10feet high growing on a semi-stable island of pluff mud held together by various grasses but teeming with hogs. The boots never leaked...tore or failed me....and the straps held onto my belt even when fully submerged in mud and I had to force my foot and boot free. They would slide on my feet but never came off and the straps and buckles held up to the abuse. That in of itself has sold me on their build quality. They went through 2 years of abuse in just 4 days hog hunting in the lowlands of south Georgia. Great boot especially for the price.

I bought these in camo with the 600 gram insulation in 2010 and just finished my 3rd season with these.
They have held up flawless with no leaks or cracking.
You absolutely have to store them hanging up or down not allowing them to fold and they will last you years. A friend borrowed them for a duck hunt and loved em so much he was going buy a pair. Well worth the money !

No comparison felt is the only way to go they don’t slip on rocks at all they save your ankles and knees trust me felt all the way.A:Â
Rubber is good for clay banks as they have a tendency to grip well. Cleated rubber soles are okay if the stream rocks are not slippery. Felt is much better if you are wading in rivers and streams that have algae and slime covering the rocks and bottom. They are though terrrible if you are walking in the water with a clay bottom or along the bank on clay as you will likely slip and fall.Answers
