Rated 5 out of 5Â by USMC0311 worth the money/ great deal
After using my father's neoprene waders for several years I decided it was time to buy my own. Although these are not neoprene I am very satisfied with the warmth and quality of this product. I used them several times over the spring, summer, and fall in both rivers and lakes. I did not expierience any leaks or difficulty staying warm/cool. In addition, I did not expeirience any tension in the lower legs as I did with my father's neoprene waders, when the water was chest level. Overall I feel that this is a great product and well worth the money. As with all waders, make sure you hose them off when you are done and hang them as if you are wearing them. This should help prevent them from developing holes. Good luck fishing all...... tight lines!

I love these waders! I picked up a pair for my wife too. The RedHead Bone-Dry Hobbs Creek chest waders are great. They're very durable and well put together. They make for a comfortable day out. Adjustable suspenders and belt make for a perfect fit and they aren't too hot. The felt soles make for safe travel on slippery terrain. I can stand and fish all day dry, cool, and without sore feet.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Louis1343 good but too small
I had a different model made by Redhead prior to these and they fit perfect. I ordered these in the same size and found these to be not long enough. They are a really good wader but not long enough for someone who is 6'5''

Sold my red head hip waders to a friend, two weeks later I knew I had made a mistake. Looked on line, in sporting good stores, couldn't find a pair to replace my waders with, the friend I sold mine to tells me a friend of his had just.got a pair of Red Head chest waders from Bass Pro on sale. I ordered a set, 30 minutes after the fed ex driver left them I am chest deep in 50 degree water for at least one hour, no problem, stayed dry and warm, took a few minutes too adjust the straps. I am not small in size, 6ft.3in 280 lbs. no problem. May buy my son a pair for his birthday, he is my size

I'm short and fat! I'm 5'-7", and I'm about 265. To quote an old saying, I have a gut like a harbor tomcod! Needless to say that I have some trouble finding waders that fit my gut! I compared these to the big man, neoprene waders, and they size up just about the same. Would these be a good buy for someone like me???Thank you for your time!

I'm 5'10, 165 and there is WAY too much room around the gut and chest area. So I'd say go for it.A:Â
If you don't do alot of hunting then yes but they develop leaks after a very short time.Details:Â
I wear a size 8 shoe, when I clicked on the 8 refering as the size it came up lug outside. Does that mean the waders will fit my size 8 foot?Answers
A:Â
this refers to the sole of the boot. Lug sole or felt sole. you have the choice to choose the type of sole depending on water conditions. Muddy bottom lakes I use lug soles. Rivers with slippery rocks I use felt soles. If u wear 8 in boot size they should fit.Top 25 Contributor

It means that the sole of the boot has a lug pattern! Similar to the soles of a running shoe, or like the treads of a tire! So you get more traction! Some say that a felt sole is better, but some states, and in my case, provinces do not allow felt sole waders because the felt can hold unwanted organisms that can contaminate a body of water, kinda like putting a species of fish or animal from an other country in a body of water or area, they can take over and devastate an area!Hope this helps!

How does boot size compare with shoe size? One size larger with warm/heavy sox? Also, should I spend another $20 for neoprene?

If the leak is on an area with only one level of rubber then any rubber patch should work but if the leak is near an area where there are multiple levels of rubber(ie.,seam) then throw them out or send them back depending on the age.Answers
