Rated 4 out of 5Â by jsl1952 Almost a 5
These boots are by far the most comfortable out of the box snake boots I've ever purchased, bought my last pair in '05-'06, they were waterproof the first 3 - 4 yrs, then they started to have a few leaks, even waterproofing did not help, didn't understand until the outer sole started to come loose, I found puncture marks were I obviously walked through some briars at some point, it happens in the woods hunting. The outer sole is a thin rubber coating, which is the water proofing for the sole area I guess and any type of puncture in this area and the boots will leak. I had no other leak problem with these boots and when they come back on sale I plan on buying a pair or two, now that I know what to look for, like I said, almost a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Swamp wader Excellent boots
I have used these in Cypress swamps where I have walked in water and muck all day. The boots have done an excellent job at keeping my feet dry and sweat free. I have also walked 20 miles in these boots, extremely comfortable.....no blisters. These boots are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. They are more comfortable than my favorite pair of old tennis shoes.

Loved the fact that I could get them in 14WIDE for my son! He's 6'4" and has flippers for feet! *laugh* These boots fit great and he's anxious for the hunting season to start so he can try them out in the bush.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SafariClassic Excellent value for the money
These boots are an excellent value for the money paid. I purchase these boots every three to four years when placed on sale for approx. $89.00. At this price, they are an excellent value. I do not purchase these boots at full retail which is currently $149.00. These boots are comfortable, provide a good fit, and protect the user from venemous snake bites. They are water resistant if maintained in good condition. The user should apply a treatment to the leather such as sno seal (synthethic conditioner similar to mink oil which preserves leather without tearing it down) if they expect the leather to last any length of time. The most serious problem I have encountered with this boot is that after three to four years, the soles seperate from the boot, requiring replacement. Stitching the soles to the boot would be an improvement and help eliminate this problem, but would undoubtably elevate the cost of the boot. These boots are non-insulated and that is how I prefer them. They are excellent for warm weather hunting and just as suitable for cold weather hunts where temperatures drop down into the teens. I wear medium (D) width boots in lace ups, but select wide (EE) width boots in side zip pull ons. This combination allows adequate room and stability after break a brief break in period. With all that being said, these boots are an excellent boot that provide years of enjoyment to the end user. These boots have been used all over the North American continent by myself and other family members with satisfaction. These are an excellent buy for the money in the $90.00 to $100.00 range. These are a good buy for the money in the $150.00 range. The choice is yours, but these boots are worthy of consideration.
