RedHead® Bone-Dry® Bayou 16'' Non-Insulated Waterproof Snake Hunting Boots for Men
Love these boots, I have a rebuilt lower right leg/foot with screws and a metal plate holding it all together, needles to say finding a snake boot I could get on with a foot that doesn't bend much was a challenge. I put the boots through a workout the other day hiking approximately 3 miles of swamp. Boots performed very well. The only negative comment I have is that despite there height and laces they provide very little ankle support so my next task will be to get the on over my ankle wrap.

Very Comfortable, but not very waterproof
I've had these boots for a little over a year now. I bought them new at BPS in Kodak, TN. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They even beat most shoes I have owned in the comfort division.
The bad is that they are not very waterproof. Wet grass and water up to the toe was fine. Anything over the ankle got my feet soaked.
I'll give them 3 1/2 stars because they are comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
All in all I would recommend these boots to friends who plan on staying dry. If you plan on getting wet I wouldn't recommend these boots.
As for snakeproof I don't know. I've never had to test them out. Hopefully I will never have to either.
I have used these boots while chopping firewood, relic hunting, hiking, fishing, doing yard work, even to dinner and a movie.
Good: Very comfortable shoes. Nice fit. Easy to take off.
Bad: Not very waterproof

Very comfortable and emits confidence
They are very comfortable and emit confidence with each step I took. I left the truck and headed out for a Hog quota hunt @ Fort Drum WMA in soFLA on 10-12-13. they did well in the water for the first few miles of 12in deep trails and harsh FL terrain. but one begun to feel heavy and full of water. After stopping and removing the boot , I found it bone dry inside. After I shot a 85lb Sow 5miles from the truck, I still had dry boots. With no cart I drug it back with no regard for my feet. I stepped about two inches from a small Diamond Back.. . it freaked me out but didn't slow me down , as I had great confidence in these boots. While floating the Pig down a trail I was wishing the boots were a bit taller, as I got some water over the top of one. No discomfort, just a heavy boot. The other begun to feel heavy as the day progressed as well. I took it as just soaking up water, but they did get significantly heavier.
Great boots, and I got my size in a wide and they fit perfect. No discomfort on their first 13 mile trek and my feet weren't soaked in sweat

I purchased the boots for my husband. He has worn them and is very pleased with the construction. He says they are very comfortable and an excellent fit. He wanted them for warm weather wear and protection against copperheads.
