I would recommend these waders to anyone that needs comfortable chest waders while working or fishing. I use them when doing volunteer stream reclamation. May 10, 2010

I have to hike in quite a distant to get to my favorite fishing spot and these waders are taking a beating and keeping me dry. I bought a pair for my son's birthday. A good product!!! May 9, 2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by seam broken I used them less than 20 days and the seam along the leg broke at the knee level (where it bends the most). Fishing in January is no fun with water in your feet. Also the sizing is weird: huge chest area... not recommended January 7, 2010

Wader Size?

I am 5'10 ½“ at 196lbs and am not familiar with the size equivalency to a 36/30 pant size.

I am 5' 9" and weight is about 175. I ware a 36/30 pant. My shoe size is 9 1/2. I ordered a size 10 and use with a heavy sock. I probably shoud have ordered a 9 1/2 but the 10 works fine. I think they probably go more by shoe size than they do pant size when making the Waders. You should be OK with the length and waist. They: however, is plenty of room for me to carry a pistol in them.

Don't bother, the suspenders are not elastic and the attachment points break off right away if you should want to bend over.

I received suspenders when I bought mine in the package. If you still aren't sure, when you go to buy them, ask a store employee or open the box yourself.

how much do each of the sizes weigh?

also, i'm looking to purchase a mens size 7 or a youth size 6.. i'm 5'4'' shoe size 6... don't know which one to buy since i dont have a bass pro shop close by to check them out for myself, and i dont like to mail exchanges due to the length of time it wastes. thanks!

The Redhead waders are heavier, I think you would be more comfortable with a thinsulate type one.

They are bulky and seem heavy to me a little bit, but you definitely won't have any problem with the water getting inside of them. I would get them if you want a cheap pair cost wise. The waders in the stores can get up to $140!

They are a bit on the heavy side as for the exact weight I could not say for sure. I used my shoe size to determine the boot size of the wader,it was a pretty good fit.
