These are the toughest hip boots i've ever used. I wore them over 100 days before any holes developed, easily patched up. Very warm, not the most fashionable, and pretty stiff but durable and long lasting.

Just recieved these boots and they seem great. Plenty of insulation for those cold days and yet light enough to allow easy movement. A good compromise of insulation vs mobility. They have heavy knee pads which should help prevent breakage/seperation issue. I use these boots for hunting so they get plenty of use in heavy brush.

The boots leaked as soon as I got into water that was deeper than the insulated area, the canvas just would let the water seep through and the canvas tore very easily.

both my son and I purchased a pair of these boots just prior to going to Wyoming for some trout fishing. First time in the water both pairs of boots leaked. Loved the felt sole, and the lower part of full rubber that was insulated was fine. However, the rubberized canvas above seeped water every time it came into water contact. It was not sweat, as walking in the boots on dry land did not produce any inside wetness. If you are in warm water it probably would be ok, but again you buy boots, you expect them to keep you dry
