RedHead® Bone-Dry® Bayou 16'' Non-Insulated Waterproof Snake Hunting Boots for Men
Almost a 5
These boots are by far the most comfortable out of the box snake boots I've ever purchased, bought my last pair in '05-'06, they were waterproof the first 3 - 4 yrs, then they started to have a few leaks, even waterproofing did not help, didn't understand until the outer sole started to come loose, I found puncture marks were I obviously walked through some briars at some point, it happens in the woods hunting. The outer sole is a thin rubber coating, which is the water proofing for the sole area I guess and any type of puncture in this area and the boots will leak. I had no other leak problem with these boots and when they come back on sale I plan on buying a pair or two, now that I know what to look for, like I said, almost a 5.

I have used these in Cypress swamps where I have walked in water and muck all day. The boots have done an excellent job at keeping my feet dry and sweat free. I have also walked 20 miles in these boots, extremely comfortable.....no blisters. These boots are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. They are more comfortable than my favorite pair of old tennis shoes.

Very comfortable boot. I have not tried them in very wet conditions. I will follow up in the future with more details.

Love these boots, I have a rebuilt lower right leg/foot with screws and a metal plate holding it all together, needles to say finding a snake boot I could get on with a foot that doesn't bend much was a challenge. I put the boots through a workout the other day hiking approximately 3 miles of swamp. Boots performed very well. The only negative comment I have is that despite there height and laces they provide very little ankle support so my next task will be to get the on over my ankle wrap.
