Have worn the boots in freezing weather a couple of days. They have kept my feet wram and dry, even down in the swampy bottoms.
I did get a 1/2 size larger as others suggested. They are tight at the ankles to get on and off but have loosened up some. With thick socks I can get them on and off fairly easily and they fit well.

boots are nice and warm a little tough to get on and not really adjustable. I have very large calves so the boots are skin tight right at the top you couldnt even fit a piece of paper in them and no adjustment. wish I would of spent a little more money and got the lacrosse boots they are adjustable. but all in all if you dont have enormouse calves these would be good boot

Problem is with the sizing. I wear 8 1/2 so I ordered size 9. Could not get past ankle in these boots. I placed a 10lb barbell weight in each of them at the ankle bend for over a week. I barely got my foot in in regular socks; no way thick winter socks will work.
When I took boots off, it was so tight still that it pulled both socks off. I even sprayed PAM cooking spray on the socks and thried it that way. Got into boot easier, but it still pulled socks almost off my feet taking the boots off.
Other than that, I like them. Pretty noisy when walking.

I bought these boots on sale for around $60. The sales person told me they only came in whole number sizes so I bought a 10 due to my 9.5 size. I figured the thicker socks would help. However, both the left and right boot took some work getting them on. Followed by 2 or 3 times the work to get them off. This resulted in the rear peice that is there to help you remove the boot ripping off the boot in about 3 wears.
Now, our next trip weeks later BPS took the books in and they gladly replaced them with the same pair. This time it's a different story. The boots are smooth and easy to put on, yet don't move around or feel loose while wearing them. They take just seconds to get off. We live in south Texas and so the 1000 grams of insulate has yet to prove itself. However, I did fish in them during winter at the coast and a few lakes. It was if my feet were never even in the cold water.
Overall, I'd have to say the product looks to be inconsistant. But, with BPS willingness to replace them and make a long lasting customer out of me. I would recommend the product to most people.

Can barely get naked, without socks, feet into boots. Very tight at the ankles; when I get by them, the rest of the boot is fine. Got a size 9 since I wear 8 1/2.Don't know if I can even get my toes in with socks on.
Anyone have a suggestion? I bought them thru catalog so I can't return/exchange them at my BPS.
Also did not come with a packing slip.
