RedHead Blood Trail Luminator Pack
In the field
I purchased this pack for the upcoming 2013 deer hunting season. I had several trips in the field with this pack. The pack did work as intended. The only 2 draw backs with the pack were the buckles that ride on the shoulders. They can be very uncomfortable with a rifle slung over them. Of which leads me to mention the built in rifle pouch needs to be adjustable. It allows the rifle to hit the but on the ground with some grades that are expected when hunting. Minor adjustment can be made in the field.
It did allow for a great deal of meat to be stored in the main body of the pack and carried well on the hike out.

Didn't get 15yds from truck when the pack fell off my back. The shoulder strap broke where it attached to the pack.I took it back and got another one thing that is was just bad luck on the one I picked from teh stack. After reviewing the other reviews I'm taking it back seems that im not the only one who has had the strap break! Really wanted this pack to work to!!!!!!

Shoulder strap broke.
I traveled to Peru. bought this camo pack that i could use on my vacation. then use it while hunting. i liked the large size. since i sleep with a Cpap machine. i needed room for sleeping ,machine and clothes. i was using this pack for travel. not hunting. so no tree snags. not thrown in the back of a truck. simply while traveling on planes, trains and buses. no more than 25 lbs. since i live 2 hours away from our local BASSPRO. i need time to be off work to travel down there. wasting my time to exchange or get my money back. low and behold. i look up this pack. it's half off. great..!! i paid full price. the best part of this pack was the light. luckily i had carbines clips. so i could rig it to work. the last 4 days of my trip. of a ten day vacation.

Great features poor durability
I purchased this pack and was excited to use. It has a lot of great features, but it also has a lot of cheap plastic. I gave it a try and on my first major hike out I was really disappointed. I did not have it overloaded, but on my way down a 2500-3000 ft vertical climb chasing after some Elk and Deer, the shoulder strap broke at the clip on top. I was skeptical, but sense they sent some extra clips with the bag, I figured I could fix it (I had them with me.) It turns out it is nearly impossible to fix in that location because it is sewed in and there is only 1 inch on strap under a cover to attempt replace the strap. After 20 minutes of my big hands working on the clip, dark setting in, and my daughter getting hungry and cold, I gave up trying to fix and went down the hill. It is a good thing we did not shoot any animals up there, as clearly this pack could not have handled it. Oh, and the zippers got stuck a lot.
