We’ve gathered the most impressive advancements of modern compound bow engineering and combined them in the BlackOut— a bow that quietly delivers bone-melting speed and ultra-smooth performance! The Throttle Cam Tech is the fastest and the most efficient single cam on the market, sending arrows screaming into your target at up to 333 fps with a whole new level of accuracy. Parallel limbs store huge power reserves, and the whisper-quiet shot will surprise your quarry in a very deadly way. And with a 7" brace height and 32" axle-to-axle length, its peerless design and perfect balance make this bow a pure joy to shoot. Color: Realtree AP™. Weight: 3.8 lbs.
Package includes 3-pin sight, Hostage™ arrow rest, one-piece 5-arrow quiver, 5" stabilizer, installed string suppressor, and installed peep sight and sling
Throttle Cam Tech
The fastest single cam on the market! This cam has been stripped down and rebuilt from scratch, machining it to the tightest tolerances possible for unmatched efficiency so all potential power stored in the limbs is transferred to the arrow with minimal energy drop.
Rotating Draw Length Modules
Adjusting the draw length between 26.5" and 30.5" (in 1/2" increments) is as simple as removing the module screws, rotating the module, and retightening it. No bow-press required!
Limb-Mounted Bearing Assembly
Most manufacturers integrate the bearing into the cam itself, which can lead to inefficient power transfer and imbalanced rotation. We’ve placed the bearing assembly on the limb tips instead, allowing near-perfect efficiency and unencumbered, true centered alignment.
Highest-Tolerance Fully Machined Riser
The 6061 T6 aluminum riser is precisely CNC machined to eliminate unnecessary weight and maximize strength. It’s long enough to add precious forgiveness to each shot, yet short enough to maneuver deftly in ground blinds or tight treestands.

I was about to purchase another Mathews bow until I shot this one. The bow is FAST and accurate. There is some vibration that comes from the top part of the bowstring next to the idler. A string leach or rubber whiskers makes that a simple fix. Now the bow is silent and dead in your hands when shot. As mentioned by other posts this bow is not for a new shooter you need good form. I have shot the bow for about a month building up from sixty to seventy pounds. It took some time to get used to the aggressive cam. To that end, letting the bow down once drawn needs to be done carefully. Again this bow is for an experienced shooter. I shoot a very short draw length so the best speed I could get was 274.9 fps with a 371 grain arrow. My old Mathews Q2XLwith the same draw weight and arrow shoots 244 fps. This should tell an experienced shooter how radical this single cam bow is. Over all a very nice set up. I have had no problems with the hostage rest so far. If your rest starts to show abnormal wear the nock point may not be correctly set or there may be tuning issues. There is one thing to point out if you shoot blazer vanes pay attention to your arrow rest set up. If the rest is set too close to the side of the shelf the vanes will hit the cable guard strings. I was able to adjust far enough away to get extremely accurate shot placement. Warning once set up DO NOT shoot at the same spot within thirty yards or you will be buying more arrows. The sights that come with the bow have small pins but the accuracy you gain from the bow make them very functional. A bargain bow for the experienced shooter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TNBrad Great Boww - Arrow rest is junk
Received the bow for Christmas and have shot maybe 300 arrows. I really love the bow. It's fast, smooth and quiet. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the Hostage arrow rest.
The bottom brush wore out after about 100 or so shots and I had to rotate them. Now after another hundred or so shots, the bottom one has again wore out.
As it is, the arrow is now very loosely held and could easily fall out of position. If one weren't paying attention, the arrow could slip and cause a dangerous situation.
I know I can buy new brushes, but it's too much hassle. Since my son and his friends shoot the bow, I am going to just get a higher quality rest.
Again, other than that - I love the bow.

For starters: I've only had the bow for two weeks now. I would give it 5 starts and rate it as highly durable and high quality but I haven't had it long enough to give an experienced answer.
This bow shoots great. I've shot MANY big name bows and I chose this for a few reasons. You aren't going to get a full-package bow for cheaper than $599 and not say "I got what I payed for." If you like Mathews but want to save a little money this is a great option. A few differences, but none a few hundred dollars saved can't help you overlook. Smooth draw. Customer service, warranty, and professional repairs/tuning/assistance of Bass Pro.
Be sure to have Bass Pro make some changes before you leave the shop though: d-loop length and peep sight placement and adjustment.
I love the Blackout. This one was hit out of the ballpark. I would recommend it to anyone interested.
