''BlackOut arrows offer the three things hunters care about most: consistency, durability, and value. They stick where you point them, they last through the abuse a hard core hunter can dish out, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And that’s all I ask for in a hunting arrow.''
Jerry Martin, RedHead® Pro Hunting Team

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blackout X5 Envy at 500 I needed a lighter spline arrow for a 52" Bear recurve at 45# in order to 'tune' the bow. I was using 400s at 30" with 125 grain tips from another bow, close, but wanted lighter and these still hit my hand often. I was skeptical of the Blackouts due to lower price but bought the 500s at 32" and added 75 grain tips. Almost there. Cut arrow length notch to insert to 30.75" (cut ¼ " at a time). This tuned perfectly. Fletching never hits bow or my hand and fly straight. Weight= 333 grains. Arrows seem very durable. Have shot 6 arrows over 400 times total, no issues. I only shoot "target" out to 50 yards. February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good beginner arrows I just started shooting and I bought these arrows they are my first arrows. I have no complaints I can hold a 4 inch group at 20 yard with them and like I said I just started shooting. I have shoot the fletching of a couple of them tho but I don't believe any arrows can take a hit without falling apart. February 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by These arrows rock. Picked up a dozen of these last Christmas as a gift along with a redhead kronik XT. Killed a huge notypical Cali mule deer with it, first year deer hunting/taking a buck. I practiced daily with these arrows, they fly fast and true. Just picked up my second dozen from Manteca Pick some up you won't be disappointed. February 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by tough cheap arrows These arrows are very tough and preform great I have shot them into gravel and through a board and the still fly true January 5, 2014

Im curious as to why the Basspro staff member chose S nocks?!?
These arrows are manufactured by Gold Tip, so the Nockturnal GT lighted nocks should fit these.

A:
Yes these do come with inserts, the arrow shafts are Bass Pro brand and made by Gold Tip. If you lose inserts replacements can be purchased at bass pro and they are standard Gold Tip inserts. Just FYI I tried hot glue and it did not keep inserts in well. I switched to epoxy and have not lost an insert since. I went through 5 inserts with different glue before using an epoxy

Yes but you have to glue them in, I used gorilla glue after the easton inset glue failed multiple times, the Gorilla glue is bulletproof.

Can I get these precut?

Details:
I need these precut to 30 inches. Bass Pro Orlando usually does this for me. However, I will not be able to go there before my hunting trip. I need these arrows precut and ready to hunt out of the box. Please advise

they don't come pre-cut, you would have to have them cut to length and inserts put in.

A:
We do not precut arrows that ship from our warehouse, they have to be cut at the local BPS or other bow shops.

Yes these arrows would need to be cut to length and inserts put in them, they are originally over 32 inches I presume, I just pick up the size I need and let Bass Pro cut them to my length and put inserts in.

I did not measure the new shafts, I would estimate 34-36 inches length. You will need to trim locally if ordering online. I have heard, but can't verify, that if purchased in the store they might trim for free. Ask before assuming this is true...

The numbers are the spine of the arrows. It helps you pick the arrows you need for your draw length and bows poundage.

Depends on the arrow company. Some signify diameter and wall thickness. And some signify weight and diameter.

The size listed as example 340 will tell you if this would work with say a 75-80 draw weight bow and shaft size 28”, see photo for chart. Thanks
