''BlackOut arrows offer the three things hunters care about most: consistency, durability, and value. They stick where you point them, they last through the abuse a hard core hunter can dish out, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And that’s all I ask for in a hunting arrow.''
Jerry Martin, RedHead® Pro Hunting Team

BlackOut X5 Envy Carbon Arrows - 2'' Blazer Vanes 4.6 5 56 56
Good buy! Arrows are cheap, fly straight, light and a very good value. I shot two deer today and both arrow shafts broke. If you plan to reuse your shafts after shooting deer maybe not the arrow for you. I don't reuse the arrows used after hunting so they are perfect! November 2, 2014
Good Arrows for Practice I bought these arrows as I was learning to shoot my bow. I'll admit that I switched for hunting season to some heavier grain arrows for more kinetic energy. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a higher rating is that the fletchings aren't all aligned and have a tendency to mash together. Doesn't seem to affect flight that much but I haven't been shooting that long. All in all I'd say they're worth the money I spent. October 29, 2014
Best value for the money It's crazy how expensive arrows have gotten. We've all looked at all the different arrows and thought about how bad we don't want to spend $120/Dzn. These redheads are probably the absolute best arrow I've found for the price. I've shot them out to 80 yds, no problem. I've killed deer with them, They penetrate through deer with no problem. They are a little on the light side at only 8.7 gpi. The only thing I would recommend would be refletching with quick spins or blazers(it will tighten your group up and they last longer) The vanes that come on these arrows out the box are about as low quality as you can get. Other than that, great arrow for a great price. October 2, 2014
Warning!!! I bought these arrows to go with the Blackout bow I got from BPS. I just wanted a cheap practice to start out with and use for sighting in. But be warned these are cheap arrows and I wonder if the aren't seconds from Golden Archery. The shafts on these are so thin that they will split at the knock end! Out of 6 arrows 3 have split at the knock end within a dozen shots at a bag target. I'm now waiting on BPS to send my replacement arrows. Caution!!!! These arrows will split on you under general target practice!!! September 30, 2014

I use the Nocturnal Lighted Nocks for Gold Tip Arrows. These are Gold Tip arrows (BPS private brand) and GT nocks and inserts will work.
I mistakenly washed and dried one of these Nocks in my hunting pants last weekend. Don't recommend doing that, but it still lights up!

Im curious as to why the Basspro staff member chose S nocks?!?
These arrows are manufactured by Gold Tip, so the Nockturnal GT lighted nocks should fit these.

A:
Yes these do come with inserts, the arrow shafts are Bass Pro brand and made by Gold Tip. If you lose inserts replacements can be purchased at bass pro and they are standard Gold Tip inserts. Just FYI I tried hot glue and it did not keep inserts in well. I switched to epoxy and have not lost an insert since. I went through 5 inserts with different glue before using an epoxy

Yes but you have to glue them in, I used gorilla glue after the easton inset glue failed multiple times, the Gorilla glue is bulletproof.

Can I get these precut?

Details:
I need these precut to 30 inches. Bass Pro Orlando usually does this for me. However, I will not be able to go there before my hunting trip. I need these arrows precut and ready to hunt out of the box. Please advise

We do not precut arrows that ship from our warehouse, they have to be cut at the local BPS or other bow shops.

Yes these arrows would need to be cut to length and inserts put in them, they are originally over 32 inches I presume, I just pick up the size I need and let Bass Pro cut them to my length and put inserts in.

I did not measure the new shafts, I would estimate 34-36 inches length. You will need to trim locally if ordering online. I have heard, but can't verify, that if purchased in the store they might trim for free. Ask before assuming this is true...

The numbers are the spine of the arrows. It helps you pick the arrows you need for your draw length and bows poundage.

Depends on the arrow company. Some signify diameter and wall thickness. And some signify weight and diameter.
