''BlackOut arrows offer the three things hunters care about most: consistency, durability, and value. They stick where you point them, they last through the abuse a hard core hunter can dish out, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And that’s all I ask for in a hunting arrow.''
Jerry Martin, RedHead® Pro Hunting Team

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by good arrow Very good arrow for the price. Only problem I have with them is that they don't have blazer vanes like the description says. August 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the Price! Ive had these for over a year now and each arrow has had several hundred flights, so this review is a real good impression. First off, I believe these actually have the HP vanes as they are not marked...and do not seem to last as long as Blazer vanes Ive had in the past. So far, I have only had two arrows become inoperable, one lost while hunting, the other had the vane fly off somewhere between the target and me. These arrows are very nice, accurate and durable. I use gorilla glue to glue the inserts, never had one pull out. I use 100gr target points and broadheads which do not affect accuracy or flight much. Took a turkey last season and recovered the arrow...no damage at all! Have had several dig into the dirt from missing the target bag, none have ever sustained any damage either. These are great arrows! July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Arrows "I went to buy more Redhead Carbon Fury Arrows last year and found that they had been discontinued and replaced by these. These were much lighter and faster which required me to re-sight my bow to the new point of impact. This annoyed me at first but I soon realized that the difference from 20, 30, and 40 yards was minimal. I shoot a Mathews Monster with an HHA Optimizer sight and I rarely touch the dial on it. I can use my 30 yard setting and be within an inch high or low from 0 to 40 yards. Just for fun, I practice out to 90 yards (as far as my sight will adjust) and group as well as I do at 50 yards. If these arrows were out of spec it would definitely show at that distance. I would never take a shot at a deer from that far but it does make a 40 yard shot seem really easy. After thousands of shots with the same dozen arrows, the only damage they've sustained are some broken nocks and the fletchings I keep shooting off. All of them have since been replaced with NAP Quickfletches which makes them just that much better. You could spend triple the money for some Carbon Express arrows but wouldn't gain anything. I highly recommend these arrows." June 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blackout X5 Envy 2" Vanes I bought a dozen of these arrows for my new PSE Surge. I am getting little to no movement from these shafts with a field tip or with broadheads. I am so excited to put a couple of these through deer and turkey this fall (or so I hope). I am getting good tight groups and even though I have shot through targets and hit boards in the fence behind them I have yet to break an arrow just some 2X4's. I would recommend these shafts to anyone looking for a good sturdy true flying arrow. May 13, 2014

Im curious as to why the Basspro staff member chose S nocks?!?
These arrows are manufactured by Gold Tip, so the Nockturnal GT lighted nocks should fit these.

Yes these do come with inserts, the arrow shafts are Bass Pro brand and made by Gold Tip. If you lose inserts replacements can be purchased at bass pro and they are standard Gold Tip inserts. Just FYI I tried hot glue and it did not keep inserts in well. I switched to epoxy and have not lost an insert since. I went through 5 inserts with different glue before using an epoxy

Yes but you have to glue them in, I used gorilla glue after the easton inset glue failed multiple times, the Gorilla glue is bulletproof.

Can I get these precut?

Details:
I need these precut to 30 inches. Bass Pro Orlando usually does this for me. However, I will not be able to go there before my hunting trip. I need these arrows precut and ready to hunt out of the box. Please advise

A:
We do not precut arrows that ship from our warehouse, they have to be cut at the local BPS or other bow shops.

Yes these arrows would need to be cut to length and inserts put in them, they are originally over 32 inches I presume, I just pick up the size I need and let Bass Pro cut them to my length and put inserts in.

I did not measure the new shafts, I would estimate 34-36 inches length. You will need to trim locally if ordering online. I have heard, but can't verify, that if purchased in the store they might trim for free. Ask before assuming this is true...

The numbers are the spine of the arrows. It helps you pick the arrows you need for your draw length and bows poundage.

Depends on the arrow company. Some signify diameter and wall thickness. And some signify weight and diameter.

The size listed as example 340 will tell you if this would work with say a 75-80 draw weight bow and shaft size 28”, see photo for chart. Thanks
