The BlackOut® Pro X1 virtually eliminates variables in your arrow setup, with an incredibly precise straightness of ±.001" and an almost non-existent weight tolerance of ±0.5 grains. These premium arrows offer the tightest tolerances in the archery industry, and perform equally well during top level 3D and paper competition or high up in the treestand. 100% carbon construction gives long-term retention of initial quality, and the 2'' Blazer® vanes stabilize mechanical and fixed blade broadheads alike. Ships with nocks installed and inserts included. Shipped full length (32").

''BlackOut arrows offer the three things hunters care about most: consistency, durability, and value. They stick where you point them, they last through the abuse a hard core hunter can dish out, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. And that’s all I ask for in a hunting arrow.''
Jerry Martin, RedHead® Pro Hunting Team

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Inexpensive Price - Great Arrows! I have spent hours looking at arrows: straightness, weight, price, etc. I found these and notice that the weight tolerance and straightness is much higher than many of the competitors overpriced arrows. I have had these arrows for less than a year: 3 deer and 1 turkey. I have also changed out the nocks to Nocturnals. The Nocturnals work great just to see the arrows flight and where it hits the game. When I am practicing, I need to shoot at different circles on my target so not to hit the other arrows. Perfect! I could not be happier. Keep it up Redhead! April 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by On Target During the summer of 2012, my best friend convinced my family to visit the Miami Springs Archery Club. That night we shot club bows and decided that it would be a fun family hobby to start. My wife saw how frustrated I was becoming with my accuracy, so for my birthday in August, she bought me a nice bow from Bass Pro Shops where I worked part-time. My accuracy improved greatly as did my joy of shooting. That fall of 2012, the club announced that they would be hosting one of the sites for the Florida State Archery’s ‘Indoor Championships’ the following March, 2013. As a host, they invited several competitive archers to shoot at our club and provided a local expert to coach us on shooting skills. My first change was better arrows. The RedHead Blackout X-1 Pro, carbon arrows were my choice. I practiced many nights shooting from the street in front of my house into our garage, which was a bad idea in many respects, but made concentrating during the indoor shoots a breeze. I competed in the March Tournament and won the Senior Male Bow Hunter Free Style (SMBHFS) division, shooting a respectable score. Your Blackout arrows were very accurate. I looked around during the competition at the high end arrows used by the devoted Archers and took a great deal of pride in outshooting most of them with my off the rack, stock arrows. This year I used the X-1 Pro's to compete in the 2014 State Archery Championships. Again I won my division without the garage shooting practice. This time I set a new State record in my new division “Silver Senior Male Bow Hunter Free Style (SSMBHFS)”. Again I found myself wondering why so many spent hundreds of dollars on their expensive arrows when you could get such a solid, quality arrow off the rack. Thanks, Bass Pro Shops and Carbon Express for giving me that quality at an affordable price. Now, after only two years of shooting archery, I have two State Championships, a nice 8pt Buck, a 150lb boar and a newfound family hobby. How can I not recommend your products to others. Both years I used the RedHead Blackout 60lb bow, RedHead Blackout X-1 carbon arrows and a RedHead release. I have the confidence that if I were to practice I could compete at the ‘Nationals’ level, with the same equipment. I’m not intimidated by the big name high priced equipment. I’m a hard working family guy that has found the right tools for the job. Thanks, Man-0-Steel April 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Phenomenal Tool I was very hesitant about buying these arrows as I have not had much luck with the Redhead brand fishing gear. The archery tech highly recommended them and I took his word as I was not afraid to return them and get something else. I am very happy that I went home with these arrows. They are super fast, super straight and pack a punch. After these arrows break the sound barrier, they will deliver a fatal blow to that white tail buck deer. I shoot the 400 / 8 gpi with the new Bear Agenda 6, which puts this arrow 2 inches through the rear of the target January 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by very happy its hard to believe BPS can sell arrows of this quality for such a low price. They have tightened up my groups I will buy them again Just wish there was an option to cut them to length thru the web site December 2, 2013

Thank you for your inquiry. All of our arrows are shipped full length and have to be cut with a high speed shaft cutter. Most uncut shafts are 32" to 34".

What spine to choose?

Details:
I am completely familiar with spines in arrows and I know what they mean. I was wondering if using the 400 spine in a 70# bow is too much stress on the arrow or should I just get the 340's? The only reason I'm asking this question is due to the fact that I'm trying to build a lighter arrow. Thanks.

A:
340 would be better, however your arrow length is the key factor. Under 25 inches and you should be fine. Over that length and you should go to a 340, with the pounds your pulling that is.

I shoot these with a Red Head Kronik XT with 80lbs draw. I shoot the G5 Montec CS 100 grain. That is also what the pro shop guys recommended. They shoot great.

I've been told by a BP employee that Carbon Express makes these arrows exclusively for Bass Pro. I can not, however, confirm nor deny that.
