My son actually bought these two years ago, and he went off to the Navy, so I scavenged them, after having terrible results with other heads losing 3 deer in one season!
I have since used the broadhead and killed three deer. Each time the arrow had full penetration, sticking in the ground on the opposite side. This broadhead sliced through the vitals perfectly. All three deer were found within 50 yds of being shot.
They fly great out of my Dream Season EVO pulling 70lbs @ 29" draw length with a 380 grain arrow.
I have resharpened these heads and reused them to kill again.

i hope you have a good sharpener because when i got these an opened them they were as dull as a butter knife. i took these and tried to cut a piece of paper and it woud not do it and i even put the paper on a flat surface and pushed the blade down and did a small sawing motion and it only put an indention in the paper. I have tried to sharpen these heads and it seemed to take forever to get a decent edge on them but i finally got it to what i consider good enough but not really where i would like them. I understand that we need to sharpen our heads but this was just rediculous and not something i would recommend

Razor sharp, accurate, dependable, able to be resharpened. Just a few thing I look for when I shop for broadheads. The RedHead Blackout FXD has all of these features. These blades are sharp enough to shave with out of the package, field point accuracy is excellent. I haven't hunted with these yet, but I cant wait to see what they do to an unsuspecting deer?

I am using the Carbon Express carbon arrows for my crossbow (20" in length). Just wondering if these broadheads will fit those arrows/bolts. Are all points a universal fit?
