I was out hunting with some older RedHead gear and quickly discovered how miserable you can get when the weather drops to 25 degrees, sleet, and wind here in Missouri. So I looked for new camo clothing for next year's hunt. Bass Pro to the rescue with black friday deals. This jacket is true to size. I wear XL clothing and the XL fit me perfect with insulated bibs and an old navy hoodie under the jacket. I still had plenty of room for some base layer clothing if needed. I bought the same bone dry cws bibs to go with this jacket and went out this morning to test it out. Just wearing jeans, t-shirt, 1000 gram boots and this cws system I was snug as a bug in a rug. Couldn't feel any breeze. I sat outside while reading the paper for an hour and didn't have a chill. This jacket is super quiet. Inside the jacket pocket are little draw strings to the bottom of the jacket so you can tighten the bottom of the jacket without taking your hands out of your pockets. The hood on this jacket is very nice. It is removable and warm. There are 3 draw strings on the hood. You can tighten it closer to your face with strings on other side of your face. There's also one at the crown of your head where you can tighten it down even further. No more air pockets around your head. The only slight con with the hood is the removable feature. There are 2 3" or so gaps where air could sneak in. The gaps are probably around the back of ears while wearing the jacket. Just a nit pick. With how the hood tightens down it shouldn't be a problem. Regardless, if I was hunting in 40 degrees and below I have an awesome balaclava hood I will wear on my head. The liner can be removed. The outer jacket is great for a wind breaker and probably can be used to 60-65 degree weather by itself. The liner is very neat. It has real tree camo on the outside of the jacket and can be worn as a jacket without a hood. It will be tighter than the outer jacket since you loose about 2-3" in width. That is so neat. If the weather is borderline cold you can start off with the full jacket and then take the insulated jacket and wear that if you don't want to sweat through your camo. The line zips up like most liners, but also has snaps to keep the sleeves and top of the line in place. No shoving the sleeves back into the outer sleeves. Can't say enough about it. Great jacket and system.
The only real feature missing in this jacket is some kind of scent locking system. I've been burned buying some of their clothing. Most of it is great, but I've had rips and waist buttons rip out the first time I used them and it wasn't even tight. That's why I wear scentlok baseslayers and then spray some scent cover on the outer clothing. You can't stop your scent. But if you can zip lock most of it in, it can't hurt. Then just mask the rest. Better having quality clothing than paying for that feature.

Will keep you warm and dry no matter what ! Love all the pockets room everything and then some. I specifically like the upper side pockets I put my range finder in one for quick access and it keeps it from getting in the way of my bowstring. I also love the fact that I can take the sleeves off the liner turning it into a vest on days when is not real cold out. Extremely quiet as well. The best bowhunting parka I have ever owned.

I read a review that gave this coat 1 star because it showed up on his IR camera? From my research and many years of hunting, deer cannot see IR light.
From articles and studies I have read whitetail deer lack the receptors to see red light which would include IR light. I have always assumed that's why they made IR cameras instead of flash so the deer would not see it.? I have not wore this coat to hunt in yet but if I see any problems I will right another review.

Very very warm. Sitting still for a couple hours before daylight on 20 degree Colorado mornings and I was still warm. Once the sun came up there was no way I could wear the whole jacket without sweating.
Only issue I have is that the pockets are barely wide enough to fit my hand in without gloves, impossible with gloves on. I'm 6'0" with fairly long arms and the Large Tall is a perfect fit.
