The plaque was fine but the foam center piece was to small , could not be used. Needs to be bigger and more practical .

When the package arrived I could not wait to mount my first buck. the kit had been opened, it looked as though everything was there except the instructions. There are some on the back of the package but they kept refering me to the other instructions. All in all it was easy to do. I'm put on a quality finsh to the wood since the original finish left something to be desired. The "deer skin" looked like I had skined my suede couch, prob better looking then the felt but still... I think bass pro could put a little more r and d in this product and have happier customers, chances are next time I'll but a different product.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Rdich Much better than other mounts I have used.
These were much easier to use than other mounting kits I have used. The only weak spot were the 2 decrotave tacks used to hold the styrofoam in place. They should be stronger.

I've used all kinds out there. It's a shot in the dark when you buy one of these kits but I was pleasantly surprised. They went together as easy as any I've used . The trick is taking time to cut the back of the skullcap just right. Do this and the felt piece will fit well and you'll have a nice looking end result. Bought 6 and glad I did. Don't change a thing.

The antlers would have to be connected under the skull cover some how. The cover is just a cover, all that holds it on is 2 tacks. Its not structural support for the antlers. The antlers have to be attached to the board in some way. If you can attach them to a board then you could put them on the mount and use the cove.1 of 1
