Purchased this case for a hunt in Nevada. Survived baggage handlers of Southwest airlines very well. For the money the case is of good quality and durability. I would recommend a tougher shell if there is a lot of air travel involved in your hunting future. For the 99% percent of my hunting in Texas this case meets my needs pretty well.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by FriscoKid Cheap case, good for storage, bad for travel.
I have had two of these cases, neither has lasted a whole year. Both have had handles break off.
I would go for the much more heavy duty RedHead case if you need something to travel with.

Purchased the case on 10-05-08.I went to Montana on 10-21-08 and returned 10-30-08 via Detla airlines. The case had a large tear in the bottom and most likely not pass a TSA inspection again. The skin on the case is too thin.Detla airlines is questioning how the damage got there.

I have used soft cases, hard plastic cases, but the best case I have used and now kept for years is my Aluminum one. Rifle never moves, can also throw in my ammo.
I feel it's the best protection for my rifle & scope money can buy. I will never need another one.
