Well about the third time I pushed it down the barrel it broke at one of the threaded joints. In fairness I was pushing a little hard on a cotton swab. The swabs included are to big !!! You have to cut them in half so you don't have to hammer the rod down the barrel. Duh ;-(

This product is made of metal and will last a lot longer than the cheap plastic ones that some gun stores sell. Once again Bass Pro Shops carries a good quality product that is reasonably priced.

Brass cleaning rods, complete cleaning kit. You just need solvents and oil. Cannot put to much pressure on such a small diameter rod or it will break! This is why I bought this replacement.

Do not by this if you plan on using it a lot. The rods all broke on me but the brushes and patches are nice. Beter off buying a rod for a .17 cal fire arm.
