I have owned the same pair for going on 5 years now and have just now worn out the sole. I have used them during early season bow hunting in ohio all the way through late muzzleloader with temps in the single digits. Use light socks during early season and the red head lifetime heavy weights during cold temps and you cant go wrong. Dont waste the money on a more expensive pair with less thinsulate. As always you get what you pay for and these boots have paid for theirselves hundreds of times and hunts over.

I bought these as my new all around winter boot for when I go back up North. I went to northern Michigan for the first week in January to put these boots through the ringer and let me tell you... they held up.
I hiked for two hours (about nine miles) over a partially frozen lake, through a running stream and in knee deep snow with no trouble. I fell through the ice multiple times (around the shoreline) and crossed the ice cold stream - I stayed dry, didn't even feel the chill of the water!
The boot was flexible enough that I did not get any blisters or rash from it rubbing on my wool socks. In fact this boot has such a nice fit that when you slip it on for a quick step (without lacing up) outside to grab a cold beer you feel like you can go for a decent walk- it fits perfect around the ankles.
I couldn't stop talking about them that my buddy up and got himself a pair too! Well worth the money. I bought these before they went on sale and would do it again.
There were a couple other reviews on here where people said they still got wet and were cold. If you wear normal winter clothing (i.e wool socks-stay away from cotton!) and don't go in water higher than 9 inches (lets be real people) you will be perfect.
