Rated 1 out of 5 by Jcon Comfortable, but cold!
I bought these to replace a pair of Rocky boots which I completely wore out, hoping that they would be a cheaper alternative yet still be high quality after reading the reviews. I followed everyone's advice and bought 1 size large, and this was a good decision. Once broken in they were quite comfortable for walking and they're flexible enough that you can "feel" the ground as you walk, making it easier to walk quietly. They kept my feet dry while crossing a shallow creek and the sole rubber was soft enough to really grip--even while standing in the back of a pickup and dragging a large buck into it singlehandedly.
My big gripe, however, is that these are supposed to be 1000 gram Thinsulate, but they are flat-out COLD boots. They're ok while walking, but even while wearing quality merino wool socks in the mid-30's my feet froze! Something isn't quite right, and I plan to send these back for a different product.

This is my second pair of these boots, and they're a good set of hikers to have. They're waterproof (as long as you keep spraying them), and they're a good weight. Only gave them 3 stars because the material around the ankle digs into the top of you foot and your ankle a bit. Get's pretty uncomfortable after 5-10 km's.

I bought two pair of these boots for my 11 year old boys. No complaints on long walks scouting, feet getting wet or cold. So far durability has been very good, we'll see.

My husband has stomped through many mud puddles, and says these boots are comfortable and dry at the end of the day.

Yes you should regularly spray them. The first pair I had, the waterproofing stayed for most of the season. I did not spray them and they are no longer waterproof. Bought a second pair, with a spray every month or so have had no problems
They will definitely be warm in these. But, as a recommendation, increase the size by a half, if you're going to be wearing thick socks. The insides of these are thick and "pillowy"; so, buying your specific size will make it a little cramped when wearing thicker socks.
