I got these boots about a month ago for Hunting season. I thought 1000grams of insulation would be plenty for the NC winter. I hunted this past weekend and the temperature was about 34 degrees and my toes were froze! I had 2 pair of socks and toe warmers and my feet were still cold! They are very comfortable to hike in but not real good when sitting still. And, as the other posts said, order a size bigger than you wear. I wear a 10 1/2 and bought a 12. They fit good with room for thick socks. I have had RedHead boots that were 800 gram that were tons better as far as keeping my feet warm.

great boot for the money. wear a size 10 1/2 and bought a 12 wide and they fit perfect with a pair of heavy socks. the boot has good support and they keep my feet warm and dry. i have paid three times the same money and was not satisfied with another brand of boot. i have sat in 25 to 35 degree weather for up to 4 hours with out issues.

Yes you should regularly spray them. The first pair I had, the waterproofing stayed for most of the season. I did not spray them and they are no longer waterproof. Bought a second pair, with a spray every month or so have had no problems
They will definitely be warm in these. But, as a recommendation, increase the size by a half, if you're going to be wearing thick socks. The insides of these are thick and "pillowy"; so, buying your specific size will make it a little cramped when wearing thicker socks.
