I bought this boot because its one of only a few that come in size 16 I am a big guy, I also purchased a thick pair of hiking socks that are wool. These are pretty comfortable boots, they seem to be true to size and they have a nice tread on the bottom of them.

The boots look great, they are comfortable, so why dont I like them? Comfort and function are two different things. Boots are supposed to be comfortable and supportive. Thats why most people need boots in the outdoors. When I hike in the rainforests there are a lot of obstacles ranging from chest high foliage to running rivers and climbing rugged terrain. The boots are comfortable, but offer little ankle support. This is because of the configuration of the lacing loops. You have to get creative with tying your boots to get the support you need. Also the threads on the double stitched toe have already frayed out. If you are looking for a casual hunting boot they will do, if you are looking for a rugged outdoor work boot you might want to keep shopping.
