RedHead® 1856 Collection Fire-Resistant Gun Safe
I just bought this safe from the store.
It took two other guys and myself to move the thing into my living room with a stout appliance dolly. We didn't bother removing the door.
When I unboxed the safe and took off all of the foam sheeting I couldn't find a scratch on it. The metal feet screwed to the bottom of the safe were also very easy to remove.
The previous reviewer said that when he put an ammo box in the floor of his safe it would bump up against plastic rifle rack 'feet' at the bottom of the door when he tried to shut the door. I ran into this issue too when I tried to put a file box on the floor of my safe. But you can remove each of the 'feet' individually - you just tilt them back and lift. However this door rack for long guns is only useful for shotguns and riles without scopes.

.You really can't beat this safe for the price. It will easily hold 10 long guns and a dozen handguns,
as well as ammo. I agree that you should buy the safe at the stores well as saving on the cost, the Bass Pro Shop employees will help you with operating the lock. They made sure that I could open the safe several times before I left the store.
The safe was fairly easy to place in the house. It is heavy and time consuming to move, but it can be done alone with a hand truck (dolly). I recommend this safe for a piece of mind knowing your firearms are protected

GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY
Had safe for about a month. Bought it in store for a substantial savings over price online. Did my research and for the price I paid (approximately $700) with new credit card discount and military/police/fire promotion my local store was running. Very happy with construction of safe (made by browning). bolted it to concrete floor ,use large stiff washers for best results. Have $$$, electronics, ammo, 7 rifles (3 scoped) and several handguns secured in safe with plenty of room to spare. Love the door storage space as well

RedHead 1856 Collection Gun Safe
I am pleased with the 1856 collection gun safe, however having to unload and move into my home was somewhat difficult due to the overall weight.
The door gun rack is designed for small stock guns without scopes. Racking guns on the door-rack and in the safe rack sometimes conflicts with closing the door. Overall good product, although I am currently trying to combat inside humidity issues.
Tip: In order to remove the shipping pallet you need to open the safe and remove the bolts and nuts.
