Many sock manufacturers simply don't allow for the fact that anyone wearing a size 15 boot might have substantial calves. They make the tops of the socks the same diameter through their entire size range, usually far too small to fit me. I require an over-the-calf sock that can stretch to a top diameter of 10 inches or more, and this one is a rare example of meeting that requirement.
They are very warm and comfortable right out of the package, and laundering actually makes the merino wool inside even softer!
I would recommend these to anyone needing OTC socks for larger boot sizes.

Purchased these to combat cold feet in the UK winter. I pair them with Insulated Hunter Wellies and no longer have a problem. They are amazing! In the worst freezing temp's my feet are warm and dry. Got some for our daughter for riding.
